TRAINING, NETWORKING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
“The mission of West Virginia Association for Disability Employment is to provide education, training, and resources to promote the employment of people with disabilities.”
The West Virginia Association for Disability Employment will maximize employment opportunities for people with disabilities thought collaborative efforts.
While there are national organizations dedicated to helping people with disabilities find and hold on to good jobs, none reflect the unique qualities of the Mountain State. In this State, we’ve innovated and adapted, and WVADE is a way for us to share and learn from one another. Transportation, policy making, training, business opportunities, government relations and fundraising are topics that we plan to address. You’ll be surprised at some of the things that are going on in West Virginia . . . and learn how your organization can benefit.
There will be quarterly meetings where we get together, network and learn. They will be around the state in hotels that are conducive to communication.
WVADE will help us speak with one voice to policy makers and agencies in Charleston. We have a unique forum to address concerns and propose improvements.
