About WVADE

Our Mission

To provide education, training, and resources to promote the employment of people with disabilities.

We accomplish this by:

  • Building a strong network made up of
    • Individuals with disabilities wishing to enter and or continue to be in the workforce of their communities
    • Community Rehabilitation Providers
    • State Use Contract Providers
    • I/DD Waiver Providers
    • State, County, and local school systems
    • WV Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS)
  • Provide education and training opportunities to the community via
    • Public forums
    • Quarterly meetings
    • Webinars
  • Promoting services and products made by individuals with disabilities in WV and beyond
  • Advocating for individual(s) with disabilities that want to enter the workforce
  • Encouraging high ethical standards
    Promoting unity and community action

Our Vision

To maximize employment opportunities for people with disabilities thought collaborative efforts.

WVADE will do this by assisting or providing:

  • Employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities
  • Providing instructions on how to sign up for vocational training opportunities via DRS
  • Promoting and marketing disability employment at the local, regional, state, and national levels
